Hi my name is Ashley. My boyfriend Rob and I are parents of two boys, Jaxon 11 months and Carter 6 years old. Rob can't find employment right now so he is going to school for his HSED and I am working two minimum wage paying jobs to try to make ends meet. My grandmother usually helps me with Christmas, but my grandfather passed away so her income won't allow her to help this year. Also we are hugely in debt because of two trips we HAD to take. My boyfriends mother found out she had terminal cancer a couple of months ago and the outlook wasn't good and she wanted to see her grandchildren before she passes. We live in WI and had to travel to AZ so she could see the kids. While we were there she sadly passed away. The funeral was in OH the week after we came back from AZ. So we borrowed more money to attend. Between the two trips we were gone three weeks total and got home shortly before Thanksgiving. Because of that timing we were unable to meet the deadline to get help through the Salvation Army and now we are stuck trying to figure out how we are going tohave a Christmas for our kids this year. The baby doesn't know any better but my almost 7 year old still believes in Santa and it would break my heart if he thought Santa had forgotten him or that he wasn't good enough for him to visit our home.
